@chrishart_official : #myhistory #part2 18 years ago, at age 16 I graduated high school and began my journey to get to japan. Music was one way I thought I might be able to get to japan. It is hard to live in a new country. I did not get a college degree, so I needed nearly 10 years of relevant job experience to qualify for a visa in japan. I had no idea how, I just figured I’d do whatever could get me closer. I worked at a supermarket, electronics store, home improvement store, worked on private jets at San Francisco’s international airport, I worked for DHC USA, worked for SFPD, and finally worked as a technician for vending machines. This work experience eventually allowed me to get a job in Japan and start my new life. It’s impossible to know what life has in store for you. People often said my goals were impossible, but I was too hardheaded to quit. I don’t believe in the cliche saying “just believe in yourself and your dreams will come true.” I didn’t always have confidence in my dream. I didn’t always think I’d make it. I found that faith in the unknown was what got me through. Faith that unknown possibilities could somehow fill in the gaps and I would adjust and get closer to my vision. If you have a dream, just do anything. Keep moving and growing and changing with your circumstances. It may not work out, but your experience will give you new opportunities.
